What We Believe In
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

We at EAST POINTE firmly believe that God’s requirements for entrance into the Body of Christ, the Church, must be met by all men, and that His Scriptural directives for Acceptable Worship, must be faithfully followed if we wish to be saved.
HOW DOES ONE BECOME A MEMBER OF THE Church of Christ ?
Hear
One must HEAR, the Gospel, for “Faith cometh by hearing.” Romans 10:17
Confess
One must CONFESS, for “Every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord.” Philippians 2:11
Believe
One must BELIEVE, the Gospel, for “Without faith it is impossible to please Him.” Hebrews 11:6
Baptism
One must be BAPTIZED, for “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.” Mark 16:16
Repent
One must REPENT of past sins, for “God commands all men everywhere to repent.” Acts 17:30
PUBLIC WORSHIP ACTIVITIES
SINGING: A Cappella with everyone Singing. Col. 3:16, Eph. 5:19, 1 Cor. 14:15
PRAYING: Only men lead in this activity. 1 Tim. 2:11, 12, Luke 18:1, James 5:16
PREACHING: TEACHING: Men only in public assembly. Acts 20:7, II Tim. 4:2, 1 Cor. 14:34-
GIVING: All give as prospered on first day of the week. 1 Cor. 16:1, 2, II Cor. 9:6,7
LORD’S SUPPER: All saints every Lord’s day of the week. 1 Cor. 16:1, 2, II Cor. 9:6, 7
One who has been baptized into Christ, and who faithfully worships according to the Bible, should also realize that he is required to “Live faithfully unto death, if he would receive a crown of life.” Revelation 2:10
